Everything is a fixed sound, vibration, or frequency. Different frequencies create different sounds the same way an orchestra has different instruments yet creates the perfect collaboration of a song. Vedic mantras (Suktas or Stotras) are the oldest and most powerful of all voice sounds, songs, or hymns. Besides the name and the seed sound of each planet, these verses aim at warding off negative energy and promote positive energies through an attunement of speech, mind and will to the divine forces of the universe that work through the planets. These hymn are largely an expression of devotion (Bhakti) and reverence for the planetary deities and there powers. By reciting, we worship God in the, many aspects and forms, through the planets, recognizing the planets as manifestations of a higher spiritual intelligence. We will focus on the Special Navagrapha Stotras or nine-planet hymns.
