Maneli Jodat

Maneli Jodat at Buddhi Yoga
Maneli’s yoga journey began in 2010 when she was facing a mysterious neurological disorder. Western medicine had not brought her any relief and she was curious about yoga. She started practicing with no expectation and found yoga to be surprisingly effective. It eliminated her symptoms, while providing additional emotional and spiritual benefits.

Maneli completed her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Believing that asana practice is a tool, Maneli’s goal is to encourage her students to cultivate a deep sense of breath awareness first, to further deepen the physical practice of yoga, giving students possibilities to move in their practice with an attitude of balance between ease and effort.

Outside of the yoga studio, Maneli is an accomplished painter and art professor. She holds an M.F.A in Drawing & Painting from California State University Fullerton, where she’s been teaching since 2005.

Testimonials:

“Maneli is one of my favorite yoga teachers in the country. She’s an RYT500 and the depth and quality of her education in addition to her gentle yet magnetic energy make her beautifully unique. Her flows are both intelligently and creatively sequenced, and she gently challenges you to both explore your limits and honor your body. Maneli’s pure unadulterated love for yoga and her students is so apparent in her classes. That energy in combination with her unique flows equate to an hour of bliss. You leave her class physically and spiritually transformed. I personally struggle with a type A personality and a lot of repressed anger; Maneli is one of the few people who can take me to a calmer, gentler place where I can accept myself and my surroundings with a calmer, gentler perspective. She is truly extraordinary, and I am so grateful to have her as a guide.” -Mary Perez.

“Maneli has a very unique style of teaching yoga…both calming and invigorating at the same time. Her sequencing is always appropriate for the level of class, from beginner to advanced, and her voice offers a quiet guidance that is so welcoming. She is caring and thoughtful in her preparation and her execution and it is always a pleasure to take class from her…walking away feeling serene and happy each time. She’s the best kind of yoga teacher, concerned for her students and offering her all each class.” -Melissa S.
