Your Brain on Yoga and Meditation

Buddhi Yoga is happy to be offering a Yoga and Meditation workshop with Vou Athens. This four part series meets every Sunday evening from January 10th – 31st. The combination of yoga and meditation is proven to bring many benefits to both the body and mind. The new year is the perfect time to commit to taking more control over your physical, mental and emotional health.

Neurons FiringOn a physical level, yoga and meditation have been proven to lower high blood pressure, decrease tension related pain, improve sleep, improve the immune system and increase energy levels. When it comes to our minds, meditation brings the brainwave pattern into an Alpha state that promotes healing. The mind becomes fresh, delicate and beautiful. With regular practice of meditation, anxiety decreases and emotional stability improves. Creativity and happiness increase while we become more in tune with our intuition. We gain perspective and our problems seem smaller.

We encourage you to sign up with a friend or someone you are close to whether it be your spouse or business partner. Yoga and meditation has the potential to greatly improve all of the relationships in your life, both personal and professional. Creating a consistent daily practice helps us to become far less reactive. You will find you are less likely to be triggered by people and are able to let the little things go. It is nice to share this with the people you spend the most time with so that they can experience these benefits along with you.

In this four part series you will discover and experience:

  • How meditation improves brain health and why that matters.
  • What your level of mindfulness is and how to improve it Brain activation: Engage parts of the brain that improve how we feel, interact, think and move through life during Vou’s guided meditation

Each week, come away with simple, foundational meditation tools you can use throughout the day to boost brain, body and mind health. All of this is based on leading scientific research and ancient practices.
