Body of Knowledge Series, Part 1: Yoga for Healthy Hips with Jen Snyder


This 3-part workshop series is designed for yogis, athletes, seniors or anyone who wants to improve quality of movement. In it we will explore all aspects of the pelvis, ribcage and diaphragms.
Part 1- Yoga for Healthy Hips: Sunday, May 19th 1:30pm- 3:30pm.
We will cover the hip joint and it’s key role in long term hip and spinal health. After the hour lecture we will apply the new knowledge to an all levels Slow Flow yoga practice and experience better stability, greater mobility and total body awareness. Learn to move with ease and fluidity on and off the mat.

Part 2- Breathing and Mechanics: Sunday, June 30th 1:30pm- 3:30pm

We will address Breathing and the Mechanics of our Ribcage and Diaphragm. We will dive into ways to relieve pain via the ribcage as well as study the power of the breath, the impact it has on us both spiritually and biochemically.


Part 3- Healthy Pelvic Floor: Sunday, July 21st 1:30pm- 3:30pm

We will focus on a Healthy Pelvic Floor, and talk about the role it has on breathing, hip joint health, low back pain and more.

Each workshop will consist of a 1-1 1/2 hour lecture, then for the remaining time we will focus on applying the new knowledge to a Slow Flow yoga practice and experience it’s effects. Bring your questions! Feel free to take one, two or all three.
