Buddhi University Offers a New Way to Take Part in Teacher Training and Continuing Education Modules

There is so much more to yoga than what we experience in group classes.  We created this program for students that want to learn more about yoga, but don’t have the time or money to invest in a traditional teacher training program.From anatomy to philosophy, we will cover everything you’ve ever wanted to learn, experience and feel when it comes to your yoga practice.  Take the program one semester at a time or sign up for the full program for a discounted price.

Buddhi University kicks off with the first semester on January 12th, 2024

Semester 1 | Yoga Foundations

Led by Amanda McCarroll, Carolina Vivas, Jon Old-Rowe & Jen Snyder

Yoga Foundations | The first three weekends will cover:

  • The Power of Breath
  • Shtira / Sukha – Applying the concept of balance to your yoga practice
  • Developing your home yoga and meditation routine
  • Introduction to groups of yoga postures: common and individual characteristics
  • Basic Anatomy for Yoga Instructors
  • Anatomy-based alignment system of yoga postures
  • Philosophy: The 8 Limbs of Yoga
  • The Chakra System
  • Principles of vinyasa yoga
The Yoga Foundations semester meets on the following three weekends:
1/12-1/13
2/9-2/10
3/8-3/9
Meeting times:
Friday evening 6-9pm |  Saturday 10-1pm and 2-5pm

Semester 2 | Teach Vinyasa Like a Pro

Led by Amanda McCarroll & Carolina Vivas

Learn the magic formula for Carolina and Amanda’s signature vinyasa class

  • Sequencing formulas, techniques and principles
  • Foundation of Adjustments
  • Offering variations for a variety of students to serve a large population in one class
  • Music and yoga: how to make the perfect playlist for your students

The Vinyasa Module meets on the following weekends:
4/12-4/13
5/10-5/11

Meeting times:
Friday evening 6-9pm |  Saturday 10-1pm and 2-5pm

Semester 3 | Learn to Teach Slow Flow

Led by Amanda McCarroll, Jon Old-Rowe and Jen Snyder

Learn to teach slow flow classes

  • Reach different populations of students such as seniors, beginners, and people with limited range of motion
  • Sequencing formulas appropriate for slow flow classes
  • Gentle adjustments

The Slow Flow Module meets on the following weekends:
9/13-9/14
10/11-10/12

Final Weekend for 200 RYT Graduates

The final weekend is for everyone who is completing their 200 hour certification:

  • Final teaching class exercise in groups
  • Final written exam

The final teaching weekend will meet on 11/8-11/9

Summer Elective Courses 

Enjoy a variety of introductory workshops for different aspects of yoga such as Prenatal Yoga, Ayurveda, Thai Massage, Yin Yoga, FlowLIFT and more.
