LT first committed to a consistent yoga practice in college amidst studying, competing in a collegiate sport, and working as an intern for a large insurance company. She found yoga offered a physical challenge, but at the same time a calming effect that she craved while balancing her busy schedule. After college, LT moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue work in renewable energy, and it was during this time she realized the yoga practice was more fulfilling than her corporate, mostly sedentary, lifestyle. Convinced that the universe is guiding her towards a path of sharing the practice with others, LT joined the Summer 2015 200-hr yoga teacher training at Buddhi Yoga. After completing her 200-hour certification through Buddhi, LT went on train for her 500-hr certificate at Red Hot Yoga in Atlanta, GA. She moved to San Diego in July of 2018 for a change of pace, and to expand her knowledge of the yoga practice in the Southwest.
LT’s classes are challenging, thoughtfully composed and will make you see your own yoga practice from a new perspective. Her mission as a teacher is to provide a safe space for students to connect with their true Selves. Through her teaching, you will learn ways to create space physically, mentally, and emotionally and cultivate presence in the world on and off your mat.
LT was such an inspiration to learn yoga from while at Red Hot. I wasn’t alone among other yogis at Red Hot, but I always sought out her classes as they included everything I was seeking, from the physical aspect of her powerful Vinyasa flows to her inspiring, meditative, life lessons and readings. She brings a level of psychological depth I don’t find enough of, especially her love of connecting science and spirituality-love that! Through her teaching style, she opens up her student’s eyes to their life force/prana and exposes an inner potential that’s within each and every one of us. LT you will continue to bring peace and strength to everyone you teach in the future.
LT introduced me to yoga, and I was hooked after my first class with her. She has a desire to better each of her students and gently and lovingly corrects poses. She makes learning and practicing yoga the right way relaxing yet challenging. Her music is amazing, and I never want the time in her classes to end.
Strength and gracefulness were two things I was looking for when I began my yoga practice. LT’s kind spirit in and outside the studio helped me grow in these qualities as she led with attentiveness to each student’s needs. Our early morning classes taught me discipline and her breath work teaching helped me progress greatly in my practice.
