Join Jeny of Zen Soul Balance on the last Tuesday of each month at Buddhi Yoga for a full-body-deep stretch and sound healing experience to recalibrate.
This is a therapeutic stretching class that weaves harmonious sound waves into the yoga practice for an immersive exploration of mind-body wellness. This sonic experience includes crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums and chimes to leave you feeling rejuvenated physically, mentally and energetically.
The sequence is crafted to help you stretch the day’s tension away by targeting the primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings, lower and upper back. Tight muscles can cause an imbalance which often leads to aches and discomfort. This class will help you lengthen and stretch in a safe, effective way to improve flexibility, joint mobility, and range of motion in your body.
Each stretch will focus on relaxing muscular engagement with 2-7 minute holds, using props for support, and generally in a seated or reclined position. Holding poses for longer periods of time while receiving vibrational sound therapy, allows muscles and fascia to soften and lengthen, and the mind to release stress. By compressing and elongating during each stretch, a physiological response is activated that repairs, maintains, and increases tissue health.
Students will be guided safely with attention to functional alignment, allowing energy to flow within the body, and enabling students to enjoy the practice with fluidity and ease.
This is an accessible class that almost everyone needs – athletes, advanced practitioners, weekend warriors, first time yoga students and everyone in between.
Beginner friendly, no experience or flexibility are necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to optimize your health.
